recently, tianhua institute of chemical machinery & automation co., ltd. received a notice from united states patent and trademark office (uspto) that it would grant licensing to the company’s "tail gas separation column” patent. this is the fifth us patent licensing that tianhua institute has gained.
“tail gas separation column” patent is to separate and treat dried water-containing tail gas. integrating several equipments into one technology, it consists of an area i for washing, cooling, condensation and absorption and an area ii for negative-pressure flashing. through the conditional exchanging, transferring and circulating of heat and quality between the area i and the area ii, it can realize clean separation of wet steam and incondensable process gas in the dried water-contained tail gas, and also occupies a small area. in the traditional technology, liquid-solid separation technique is complicated and costly; the circulating coolant are easily to get stuck during the cooling process; and traditional cooling and washing tower relies on a large number of units and covers large area. the new technology has addressed all these problems.
currently, this patented technology has been applied to lignite industry and catalyst industry.
