the national engineering research center of microbe pesticides (nerc-mp) is a subordinate institution of the hua zhong agriculture university and hubei sanonda group company. using the latest in biological experiment technology and fermentation technology, the center conducts research on microbe pesticides (such as bacillus thuringiensis insecticides, agricultural-use antibiotics and viral insecticides) and the commercialization development of microbe pesticides to promote hi-tech industrialization of microbe pesticides in china. the new bacillus thuringiensis genetically engineered microorganism (wg-001) developed by the center is the first genetically engineered microorganism (gem) allowed to enter commercial production in china and won independent intellectual property rights.
