the national engineering research center for liquid separation membrane is a subordinate institution of the hangzhou development center of water treatment technology. the research center specializes in researching, developing and applying technologies of liquid separation membrane. it boasts an elite team with strong technical forces led by academicians of the chinese academy of engineering, and consists of more than one hundred senior engineers. the research center is unique in four major technologies—electrodialysis, reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration and microfiltration—and develops products widely applied in seawater desalination, bittern desalination, industrial water treatment, ultrapure water preparation, drinking water purification, and in other chemical fields like water separation, concentration, purification and wastewater re-use, etc.
